MarcWill part 2 the update

I have a great deal of respect for all those who work in the creative field. You see I am a writer but I do have a “regular slave” to pay my bills and shit. I know I am good the problem is the Muthafuckas that pay don’t know it yet. I am kidding my writing has been very good to me lately I am blessed but lets keep it moving. I was talking to MarcWill and he said that when I wrote the post Fuck MarcWill (read that shit) I only told one side of the story. I asked him what he meant. He said it seems like he has the “dream job” but if he doesn’t go out and hustle his ass off he doesn’t fucking eat end of story. He also said that he is doing very well but I didn’t talk about when he was sleeping on people’s couches and driving the Honda.(before the black German) He said that he gets a lot of work but at anytime that shit can dry up. He has no retirement plan, He pays for his own health insurance, if he misses a day of work then he misses more than what ever an hour he might have missed out on with a normal job he may have missed another grand or that one deal that will have him set for life.
Marc said that he normally does 13-15 hour days. People like you who don’t pay shit (YoungBreezy does get the he my padnah discount I hate me too:) that I am cool with are always calling me asking me shit like how I convert a fucking MP3 file. I want to cuss they asses out tell them why don’t you fucking read a book. But some people are sensitive and they can’t handle that type shit. So I just answer them and try to get back in a creative mind set. People don’t understand for the most part they go to work and they have schedules and processes on how to do everything their entire work day is laid out for them. My job is to create something new every fucking day. That shit is not easy man I do have the ability to get in my car and drive around but if I don’t have a project finished or worse the bitches I am fucking with gave me a fucking rubber check I can’t even burn that much gas. I live my life spending on what I need not what I want. I could have jumped the new whatever and put rims on it but rims don’t make me no fucking money man. (As I reread this it sounded like he was upset but this is a conversation between boys so don’t worry, no issues between Chiseled Ink and HomeGrown Productions)
I thought about what MW told me and I came up with a little test. I would record on my phone a different beat using my desk at work everyday for 2 weeks. I feel that I am a black man and I got soul and shit, so coming up with a beat can’t be nothing for a player ass mofo like me. I can do a hot one a day and shiiiiiit you never know, I may drop some shit and get a check out of it. I picked something like a beat because the hottest part of any song is the fucking beat and that is pretty easy to reproduce. If you can’t come up with a hot beat all that extra crickets and fire engines and women getting fucked in the background don’t mean shit. I took my phone voice recorder and once everyday I tried to create something new. I listened to them all back to back and of the 15 beats that I had made only 4 of them sounded completely different. You think that shit is easy you fucking try making something that is not on the radio all ready. Before you get started remember it is the fucking half way point of 2006 most of the great shit has been used. Yeah you are not just competing with the beat makers of today but of all fucking time. Trust me lil daddy boom boom bap has been done to death.
Think about that he has to create something that no one else has thought of and he has to do it on a consistently. And not only make shit he has to make that shit amazing or no one will want to buy it. Now making the design or beat as I am using it in this little rewrite of sorts is the easy part. He has to work within budgets and sometime he has to deal with people that want Japanese animation but only want to pay $500 for an entire site. So I will admit that Marc’s “job” is harder than mine but I am sure that I don’t have to worry about him trying to work where I work.
Last couple of weeks he has been locked in his crib learning about this new web design technology he is constantly schooling himself because he wants to be the fucking best. He has mastered one tier now he is working on the next phase. There is heaven and there is hell you have to learn how to make the best of your situation. Something that I am learning is that there is no such thing as ideal situation. You are always going to have bullshit to make things harder. But you have to be able to produce under those situations. That is the difference between those who have the drive to step out on their own and those who will always have to leave the club early because they gotta go to work tomorrow. Peace to MarcWill’s old man I heard him and his sister talking about his health I don’t know the entire story but anybody cool enough to raise the 3 intelligent people I know has to be more than just an ordinary man. (He may have some outside kids too but I can’t say if that’s the case)
OOOOHHHHHHHH also I wanted to say I have been meeting some of the people that are loyal to my site and they have all been some cool ass people. Thanks for the drinks and the smokes and the times I can’t talk about. Later
