I am really the most blessed person on this planet. Because I am surrounded with people that I feel are honestly steering me in the right direction.

I have several friends all of them inspire me to do great things. Margina & Derrick, Jennifer, JEFF, NikkiJ, TonyJ, LA, Tim A, Lefty, Skipp Coon and most important........ my son BJ. These are the people that I know I can depend on. But I will discuss all of them just a couple cats here in Dallas.

MarcWill is a dude that is on a mission to be considered one of the greatest artist that ever lived. I went by Marc's crib the other day because he and I were working on the outline for my book. I dont go to his crib often but I'm over there a few times every coupe of months. It never fails if I go by..... he is working on something ELSE...He is on a relentless persuit to not only contribute to the world or art but to make it easier for those who are seeking information to find it. He understands that we as a community have to work constantly to make our work take care of us and everyone that enjoys it.

My DOG Jay Clipp- Honestly LOVES soul feeding, inspirational, music and art with every fiber of his being. I get inspired by people like Clipp because he loves what he does and he loves the fact that he is dope as hell at it. He is also a deep dude that loves his family and LOVES sistas more than Sally haircare products. To sum up what I get from Clipp he helps you see that the world is round. What you put out will eventually come back too you. You look straight ahead sir, You look straight ahead.... LOL.....He kicked the crap outta me in Madden last weekend and he kept saying that to me..You Look Straight ahead sir You look straight ahead. Then he said I should write a blog about how when we are kids playing stuff like Tech-Mo Bowl, a cat that really didn't play the game could kinda just keep calling the same plays or trying dumb stuff to see if it will work. Simply put hose days are over.... if you think you can try that on 07 Madden you will get your face kicked in the ground. If you really think it's a game....... go over to Clipp's house and get your football squad embarrassed.

Any way I got a buddy another buddy named DayWalker. He is a cat that I am cool with really stable dude married, established at his place of work, use to be thug a$$ dude(typical cat i am cool with). But I asked him to give me a little something to put up on my site like once a week dealing with the word (he is also a youth pastor) I know, I know,..... your saying BREEZY hangs out with Youth Ministers....Yes, Yes I do. I like people that are real about life and I admire people that can see things in their life that they don't like and make a change. Some people make this change by throwing themselves into sports or music OR WRITING. He made his change by throwing himself into the word of the Lord. I write this blog for several reasons, but one of the main reasons is I want to do is inspire you to do something great. I introduce you to DayWalker --------

If you've never heard the word “autarkes”, don't worry... I hadn't heard it before I looked it up today. I didn't look it up out of some deep spiritual movement. I was just talkin with a friend who had a question. Not really a problem, just a question that he wanted a “possible” answer to. The thing about it is, I kinda felt like at certain moments that I was reaching for answers. Not because I couldn't identify with his situation, but because I really don't know how I got to the point I'm at. My life story aside, my friend is doin good. I haven't known this cat a long time, but what I do know about him, I like. Drive, seriousness, humor... mad humor.... an understanding of family and responsibility and a need to be successful and creative. What's not to like? At this point I have to say that some people may not feel what I'm about to say, but most people with think about it and decide later whether or not it's true...

Happiness and Joy ain't the same pill. One is blue and one is red. Only the red pill gets you to reality. That word “autarkes” is a greek word and it means contentment or Self-content. It's a hot word for right now, because, people are chasing it in it's purest form: Peace and Joy. You see, Happiness is situational. When I was drinkin' I was happy. When I was high I was happy... but, when I came down I had no Joy. Joy is a matter of being content. Having Peace is a matter of find that Joy.

We spend so much time chasing the “stuff” that makes us happy, that we forget to get some Joy in life. I am by no means a minimalizing-deprevationist. I drive a new truck, my wife drives a new car and we are the first people to live in our house. We don't ball, but we live good and we have Joy in our living. That does not come from stuff, it comes from truth... truth that says “if I ain't got this stuff, I still know how to have joy”... don't get it twisted, if I lose my job, cars, and house, I will not be happy (I'm not stupid). But, I will still have my joy. If my wife leaves me, I'll still have my Joy. I have Peace and with Peace comes Joy... Joy in truth... truth from the fact that it's all going to be just fine. One way or another, it's all going to be fine and there is no reason for me to run up in a school and kill 5 little girls that ain't done crap to nobody.

“Autarkes” shows up a few places in the Bible, but the best is in Phillipians chapter 4... it's in verse 11, but the verses before that are hot as well. Some people think Phillipians chapter 4 is a high minded treatise on what Christians should or should not expose themselves to, but really it's about how we should treat each other and love each other. Paul starts with a request that two people who are arguing, stop arguing. Then he goes on to explain in verse 8 how follower of The Way should think about each other. With a good understanding of that, we find verse 11.
King James: Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Modern Language Bible: Not that I mention this because of need, for I have learned to make ends meet in whatever situation I am.
Find some peace and stop looking for stuff you want or need to make you happy.
