I have lived in a lot of places Centreville, MS…Baton Rouge, LA…Starksville, MS…Durham, NC…Jackson, MS….Houston, TX….and now Dallas, TX…Now your first question may be what the fuck are you running from? Honestly nothing just like to see different things and see how much we are the same, but this time I really think I have found a home. I am starting to fall in love with Dallas, I have in the past been one of those people that always complained about where I lived. You know the type “It’s never anything to do here; I wish I lived in New York, or Atlanta, or anywhere but here. But what I have to come to realize is that it really has nothing to do with where you are but the type of person you are. For example when my Grandfather passed away I went home to Centreville, MS (to me anywhere in Mississippi is home, my honest opinion is that it is one of the greatest states in the nation we get a lot of bad press but think about it everyone does) I was surrounded by family and I had a fantastic time. (The funeral turned into more of a family reunion and we celebrated the life of Daddy it was beautiful) I walked around the place I grew up and I really felt like this place is magical it is so calm and lack of a better word just beautiful. As a child ALL I wanted to do was to live in the city. I wanted to go to a pro game and see all the people that lived there and live in a high rise. (You say corny I saw fuck you) But you know what I have done all those things and nothing beats having about 50- 60 acres to walk out and call your own. It’s something beautiful to see kids running full speed and not have to worry if they are going to hurt themselves.
My first year at Jackson State Jackson State University My friends and I got an apartment it was a three bedroom in a complex call The Grove. The three of us paid $137 a piece (that’s right it was so fucking ghetto) but in all honesty I had more fun at the grove than any other place in my life. When we lived there it was dead roaches on the floor everyday we came home from school (We never figured that shit out) the bathrooms suffered the people upstairs, they had a leak under their tub that ate through our foof. That being said, while staying there I met some of the nicest people I have ever met. The little kids would always come to our door and get us to play ball with them. Every time anyone came by the crib at least 5 different people would give us a description of the person and the vehicle. It was like we had a neighborhood of people taking care of us. We never had any issues with crime or break ins nothing like that ever happened. We moved after a year to “better” complex the rent was more expensive and they had a cosmeticly better feel to them. But my fucking wardrobe was stolen from the laundry mat. The police that lived worked at the front gate would harass all the females that came by “you are like the 5th woman to come see him this weekend.” One of my roommates had a New Tahoe and the other had his moms S 600 so they told the local cops that we had to be drug dealers.
I told that story to make the point that you are not in hell if you are not where you want to be, its up to you to start making where you are the place to be. Football fans remember when nobody but people from Boston liked the Patriots; Hip Hoppers remember when no body would sign an act from the south. You are where ever you are suppose to be and its up to you to make your spot the envy of people espically those that all they know how to do is complain. I know I’m the shit therefore where ever I am IS the MuthaFucking spot. So I have to apologize to the fantastic people of Dallas, TX. I formed an opinion of you before I actually went out and kicked it and I have to say that I was totally misinformed. I have met some of the most beautiful people in my life here and when I say beautiful it means inside and out. I visited a couple of clubs and a local Hookah bar and I had a blast. I did get totally opposite views from people but the common thread was “it depends on the type of person you are.” (please refer to me being the shit and you may bookmark that statement because it is totally true)
I have decided to do is rating system of the spots that I check out. I will talk about the crowd the service and anything interesting that flies into my head about the spot. I’ll be fair and honest and I plan on checking out everything from cigar bars to night clubs, restaurants, everything. I’ll discuss sporting events and also where you can go and not see the same muthafuckas everytime. I know that a lot of this will take place in Dallas but I do a little traveling so look forward to adventures in Atlanta, Chicago (I love Chicago by the way) and possibly a festival in Toronto it depends on how hard I pimp the smarter travel web site on my favorite links…. If you have some hot shit on travel or hotel hook ups anything that can get me to your neck of the woods holla at your boy…My first rating will be pretty soon so just stay tuned also don’t worry I am still going to talk about fucking all those beautiful women I did in the past and getting pissy drunk in every inappropriate place in the world. I’ll put in some info next time but now its play off time I got to drink my beer Holla……
